86 Dead Stock is an innovative online platform designed for the hospitality industry. It connects businesses, allowing them to buy, sell, and trade dead stock inventory, fostering sustainability and reducing waste.

Who can use 86 Dead Stock?

Any business in the hospitality industry, such as hotels, restaurants, and event planners, can use 86 Dead Stock to manage and trade their dead stock inventory.

How does it work for sellers?

Sellers can list their dead stock inventory on our platform for free. Once an item is sold, a small seller fee is applied based on the sale price.

What is the seller fee?

Seller Fees Based on Your Success:

For New Sellers (0 – 20 Sales): A competitive fee of 12% per sale. 

For Established Sellers (20+ Sales):  As you grow with us, your success is rewarded with a reduced fee of 10%. We value your commitment to our platform.

Are there additional fees for sellers?

Yes, in addition to the seller fee, there’s a payment processing fee. This fee is 2.9% of the item’s cost plus $0.30, which goes to our trusted payment processor. Rest assured, this fee supports secure transactions and payment processing for your convenience.

Is there a cap on fees?

Yes, We understand the importance of maintaining your profitability. Therefore, we’ve set a maximum seller fee of $100 (this cap excludes any bulk or liquidation sale), ensuring that you can scale your business without excessive costs. Plus, there’s a **minimum seller fee of just $1.99**, enabling even the smallest sellers to participate.

What benefits do sellers get?

Sellers enjoy extensive online exposure through advertising on platforms like Google, Facebook, and Instagram. They also receive a seamless shipping experience, seller protection, pricing guidance, and support for our shared mission of promoting affordability in sports.

How does the 86 PLUS membership work?

Businesses can join as 86 PLUS members, reducing their seller fee to 6%. This membership offers additional benefits, including priority push notifications for urgent inventory needs. See all benefits and additional fee structure information here.

Can buyers use site tokens to make purchases?

Yes, buyers can opt to use site tokens for purchases, eliminating transaction fees. This provides a convenient and cost-effective method of acquiring inventory.

How does the Urgent 86 feature work?

The Urgent 86 feature allows users to post urgent inventory needs, and other members receive priority push notifications. It facilitates quick responses to urgent inventory requirements.

Is there a service for processing large inventories?

Yes, businesses can opt for our service to assist in processing large inventories for bulk sales, with a 15% commission fee.
